Event Monitoring: Controversy Exposure Score
SESAMm’s Controversy Exposure Score is a dynamic 1-100 score that reflects a company or project's evolving exposure to ESG controversies.
Use the Controversy Exposure Score to:
- Conduct initial risk assessments: Instantly evaluate a company’s risk exposure, enabling quick decision-making.
- Track ESG controversy trends: Evaluate how a company’s risk exposure has evolved. The CES is updated daily, ensuring that users have the most current data at their fingertips.
- Benchmark companies against their peers: Compare a company’s risk exposure to its peers, providing a comprehensive view of its relative risk.
The CES is available on the Event Monitoring Company Dashboard.

Event Monitoring: Requesting a New Entity
We’ve streamlined the process for adding new entities to your company’s universe(s). When searching for an entity, if it is not available, a new prompt to request it will appear. When you click on the prompt, a form will open, allowing you to submit the request directly to the SESAMm team.
Open Search: ESG Subrisks
The predefined themes in Open Search now allow you to dive down into the subrisk level, enabling even more targeted analyses and insights.
Open Search: Influential Sources Filter
A new filter lets users focus on authoritative sources by accessing results exclusively from a curated list of top-tier influential news sources, streamlining due diligence efforts.
Open Search: Adaptive Search Guidance
If you search for an entity in Open Search, but no data is found, this new feature helps you make the search less restrictive.
- Manual Adjustment: The user will be prompted to expand the search setting from “title-only” to “title and text” or to expand the search date range.
- Automatic Expansion: The “Expand Your Search Automatically” option broadens the data range and automatically adjusts the “keyword search scope” to include both title and text.
