12 March 2024: Multi-Entity Builder, NEAR Operator, Export Dataset

The key updates in this latest release include:

Multi-Entity Builder

Increase the precision of your search results for companies with multiple subsidiaries or brands. The new multi-entity builder allows you to create complex entity structures and define the associated disambiguation logic using the custom entities feature.

To do this, first create a custom entity, then activate the
multi-entity capability as seen in the screenshot below. From there, you can create sub-entities,
disambiguating the keywords as necessary. The sets of excluded and disambiguated
keywords are related to each individual sub-
entity. When ready, run the search. All sub-entities will
be included in the results.

Please note, multi-entities can only be created
from custom entities, not entities from the
knowledge graph.

NEAR Operator in Advanced Themes

Increase the relevancy of your Thematic Searches by adding a condition on the maximum number of words between keywords. The NEAR operator allows you to specify mandatory keywords that should be matched in the document within an x-word proximity. For example, (NEAR (supply chain , semiconductors )

  • Format: NEAR ( X, Keyword 1, Keywords 2, …) where:
    • X is the proximity threshold: the maximum number of irrelevant words between any of the provided keywords
    • Keywords N, are the N keywords that all must be found
  • Rules:
    • at least two keywords must be set to define proximity
    • the order of the keywords does not matter
  • Example:
    • near(2 show on) matches both:
      • […] the show must go on […]
      • […] On the tv show […]
      • near(4 method includes configuration instruction) matches   […] method includes accessing a configuration file having instruction […] while near(3 method includes configuration instruction) does not match that same text as there are 4 words (accessing, a, file and having) that separate these defined keywords.

Dedicated “Export dataset” module

Easily download a standard alerting dataset in CSV for an entity (ESG or SDG) and share it with your colleagues.
