Dashboards: Portfolio Monitoring
ESG Portfolio Monitoring
The portfolio level view allows you to quickly identify the most at-risk companies in a portfolio by ranking your companies by the number of unique controversies under each of the three ESG pillars, for the selected time period.
Using this view, you can quickly assess the risk profile of companies in your portfolio and save time in prioritizing research, focusing on the companies and events that may have the greatest impact.
The companies are ranked using a double sort, based on two metrics: the value of the maximum intensity score of all controversies that occurred over the period and the total number of controversies of all intensity scores. Both individual metrics are sorted in descending order.
As a reminder, the Intensity Score is a score from 1 to 5 that measures the severity of that event, based on negativity, volume, and other factors. Scores from 1 to 2 are low risk, while 3 to 5 represent higher risk events. This score makes it easy to compare and rank events. For information on the Intensity Score and its calculation, visit here.
At the top of the page, you can change the time period as well as the universe or portfolio. The universe must be set up by your Account Manager, however, you can create your own custom portfolios for easy monitoring.
Clicking on a company name in one of the tables will take you to that company’s ESG controversy dashboard.
Scrolling down, you find the most recent material controversies across all three ESG pillars and all companies. These controversies are double-sorted based on the Intensity Score and date (both in descending order).
Clicking on an article title will open the article. From there, you can change the source, see the total number of articles in that cluster, translate the article, add it to a reading list, download it, or share it (via a link copied to your clipboard).
Finally, like on the ESG Controversy dashboard, at the bottom of the page, the treemap summarises sub-risk exposure over the period in question.
